Massive flooding, a taste of things to come? Ask Lil Wayne.

cedar rapids, Iowa
Of course it’s a taste to come. Bush has bitten off more than he can chew. Screw Osama, Bush has blown up, gouged, and drilled Mother Nature and now she’s pissed. Really pissed. Oil rigs off the coast? ANWAR? Can you say flooding? Katrina? Forest fires? I can’t blame Bush for all of My America’s problems, or can I? It seems to me that this administration’s sole priorities can be boiled down to two issues. War and Oil. The irony is that we go to war for oil and in so doing make the very countries whom we are fighting in the Middle East richer. Though they spend $500,000 a minute on the war, Bush and his cronies do not want to spend a dime making investments in alternative energy. In hindsight, the cost that this has on our environment will be the gravest error of the Republican Administration. Fortunately Bush is almost done, out, gone forever. Lil Wayne wrote a diddy for Bush I thought you might enjoy:

Is the Iraqi embassy more fortified than my America? A billion dollars later.

Iraq embassy

Documents obtained by the Oversight Committee depict widespread defects in fire detection systems, fire service mains, fire sprinklers, fire-proof construction materials, and electrical wiring throughout the Embassy complex. Other documents implicate the Managing Partner of First Kuwaiti, the prime contractor, in an illegal kickback scheme to obtain subcontracts under the Army’s multi-billion logistical support contract.

Sounds like all the other news coming out of Iraq. This complex is over 100 acres (larger than the vatican), almost ten times the size of a normal embassy. More striking is its price tag. At more than a billion dollars and growing more expensive every day. Oddly, or with this administration obviously, a Kuwaiti firm won the construction deal despite very competing bids from US contractors. Read about this here. This colossal beast is emblematic of the ongoing disaster in Iraq and you can read an interesting article here about why this, like the war, is destined to fail from the start.

Everything surrounding this massive, super secret compound has been shrouded in secrecy. Diplomats were even instructed not to mention the location of the new embassy. (The fifty cranes along the banks of the Tigris might have given that one away) I wonder what the reaction was when the computer-generated projections of the heavily fortified compound were posted here on the Web several months ago.

Could a robotic dog find my America?

Robot dog
Having lived with Bushie as my president for seven years, I thought I had gotten used to robots. I was wrong. Here is the first clip of automation that has ever scared me. It literally sent chills down my spine while watching. Cheney-like creepy.

There are no gays in Iran – Ahmadinejad speaks in my America.

Please read the three zinging opening remarks made by Columbia University President Lee Bollinger, before allowing his guest to take the lectern.
“You are either brazenly provocative or astonishingly uneducated.”
“Mr. President, you exhibit all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator”
“Today, I feel all the weight of the modern civilized world yearning to express the revulsion at what you stand for.”
No, Bush was not speaking at Columbia yesterday, these remarks were the introduction for President Ahmadinejad of Iran. Let me preface this by saying that President Ahmadinejad appears to me to be a sociopath, a liar, unfit for office of any presidency, and absolutely frightening. Having said this, he was more poised, verbal, and interesting in his brief stage drama then Bush has been in seven years. I don’t know who came out of this debacle appearing worse, Lee Bollinger or President Ahmadinejad. Bollinger was not only over the top in his hammering of Ahmadinejad but also mistaken. He accused of Ahmadinejad of being a dictator. A cursory check up on Iranian politics might enlighten Bollinger to this near impossibility.
Watch the introduction below.

Ahmadinejad took advantage of the inhospitable words. Below is what he said, notice the students applause at the end.

The rest of his talk was a fascinating rambling sometimes coherent, sometimes laughable, sometimes insane. Do yourself a favor and watch it or read the transcript.

“As you know, we don’t have relationships with Iran. I mean, that’s — ever since the late ’70s, we have no contacts with them, and we’ve totally sanctioned them. In other words, there’s no sanctions — you can’t — we’re out of sanctions.”- Bush discussing his policy with Iran.

Does Grandpa know where my America is?

Podhoretz
There are many things in nature that amaze me. Nature can be so incredibly beautiful. But a conundrum exists. Very often, the greatness of the beauty of nature is in direct correlation to the destructiveness. Huge snowstorms, monster waves, fire, tornadoes, etc. are incredibly alluring in their very nature but they kill thousands of people each year and destroy millions of dollars worth of infrastructure. Sometimes, things that appear one way are in fact quite different. This goes for humans as well. The man in the picture above looks like he may be receiving from Bushie a Grandpa of the year award. But no, this man is receiving the Presidential Metal of Freedom. Very interesting since he has been privately meeting with Bush and urging him repeatedly to bomb Iran immediately. This neo-conservative is the kind of person who has direct access to Bush. Kinda scary, don’t cha think. Read another article by a University Professor about Wolfowitz and Podhoretz.

Blackwater turns streets red for my America.

Iraq bomb
Update #1 9/22/07- This is going to come back to haunt Bush. Blackwater targeted by Feds.
Update #2 9/23/07- Criminal charges?

I am just going to link to the Blackwater story here. It is your patriotic duty to know what is going on over there, so read it. It amazes me how many civilians we continue to gun down in the name of Democracy. Today Bush said that the MoveOn ad about Petraeus was disgusting. No Mr. President, what is happening in Iraq is disgusting. You seem to live in some sort of distorted and deranged dream world. Please wake up before it is too late for my America and stop having your puppets regurgitate the same lies that you make.
Please take a little time to watch this very interesting video catching Bush’s spokesmen in their lies.

Learn about Blackrock in this next video. Very, very scary. Some interesting tidbits in this video including how the founder of Blackrock is a right wing, Christian, conservative (surprise!!!) who once interned for Bush and now is a big money contributer. Earnings for Blackrock in 2001 were a measly $200,000. As of last year, hundreds of millions of dollars were syphoned to Blackrock. How many scandals lurk in this white house? Bring back Monica. I would rather have a President getting off in the Oval Office than a President getting off on our country imploding. It’s almost as if he enjoys it.
Be sure to pay careful attention to the last two minutes of this video when Bush is questioned about military privatization.

“I’m honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein.”-Bush-Washington, DC, May 25, 2004.

Traumatic Brain Injury has no place in my America!

Blast
Last night I was working in the pool shed when I hit my head, hard. I sat down immediately and searched my scalp for blood. Surprisingly, no blood had been drawn. I went a little dizzy, saw a couple of stars, and waited out my pain. The headache went away after about five minutes as did the dizzyness. I wish the same could be said of these poor boys. This is a huge problem now and one that is going to effect our society and nation for years to come. These walking wounded are going to require serious and intensive medical care for the rest of their lives. Since most of them are in there early twenties, this is going to be a long battle. Get the boys home now or you go over and see what a pressure wave from a bomb coursing through your head feels like. My guess is you would be back in Crawford in about two Southern seconds.

“You know, when I campaigned here in 2000, I said, I want to be a war President. No President wants to be a war President, but I am one.”—Des Moines, Iowa, Oct. 26, 20

Bush hints at bringing troops home to my America.

Troopshome

Update 9/6/07 – Increduously, after Mark Vaile, the Australian Deputy Prime Minister “inquired politlely” about the situation in Iraq, Bush responded, “We’re kicking ass”. Can somebody please prepare a straight jacket for our President?

From Debka.com:
“Bush capped his unannounced visit to Iraq Monday, Sept. 2, with a speech to cheering US troops at an Anbar air base west of Baghdad. The US president told them their success in the province denied al Qaeda a safe base from which to plot attacks on the USA. He pledged that the drawdown of troop levels would depend on “calm assessments by commanders in the field – not poll-driven politics in Washington.”
Bush earlier met Sunni tribal sheiks who, he said, had once fought with al Qaeda against the coalition and now fought with the coalition against al Qaeda. The way was being paved for political reconciliation and the building of a civil society in Iraq.
His visit with Secretaries Condoleezza Rice and Robert Gates was meant to underscore the improvements in security in some parts of Iraq which Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker will embody in their progress report to Congress in a few days.
DEBKAfile: Bush made no mention of the British military pull-out from Basra Palace and city to an air base at its international airport on the day he arrived in Iraq. The British withdrawal is more of a retreat and admission by America’s senior coalition partner in Iraq that after four years, its troops have lost control over their area of jurisdiction in the South to anti-West and pro-Iranian Shiite militias and extremists.
All 5,500 British soldiers in Iraq are now confined to the Basra airport base.
Bush met with Iraqi PM Nouri Maliki and President Jalal Talabani, before taking off for Australia to attend an Asian-Pacific summit in Sydney.”
About time.
