Techtonic dance craze takes my America by storm.

Be aware, be very aware. There is a dance craze sweeping the uber hot disco’s and underground dance parties of the hottest cities in Europe. Part techno, part hip-hop, and part spaz, this dance is like no other. Though I concider myself not only sort of hip but also fairly athletic, I don’t think I can dance Tecktonik. I’m not absolutely conviced I would want to either. Surely, it is only a matter of time before it this craze hits the shores of my America. I am giving my readers the chance to learn it here first. Below is a Frenchman in his basement with a Tecktonic tutorial for you. You will do one of two things watching this video. Either you will get up by your desk and try it or you will laugh uncontrollably. Either way it is worth the click. Enjoy and good luck.

Girls do it too.

Blackwater turns streets red for my America.

Iraq bomb
Update #1 9/22/07- This is going to come back to haunt Bush. Blackwater targeted by Feds.
Update #2 9/23/07- Criminal charges?

I am just going to link to the Blackwater story here. It is your patriotic duty to know what is going on over there, so read it. It amazes me how many civilians we continue to gun down in the name of Democracy. Today Bush said that the MoveOn ad about Petraeus was disgusting. No Mr. President, what is happening in Iraq is disgusting. You seem to live in some sort of distorted and deranged dream world. Please wake up before it is too late for my America and stop having your puppets regurgitate the same lies that you make.
Please take a little time to watch this very interesting video catching Bush’s spokesmen in their lies.

Learn about Blackrock in this next video. Very, very scary. Some interesting tidbits in this video including how the founder of Blackrock is a right wing, Christian, conservative (surprise!!!) who once interned for Bush and now is a big money contributer. Earnings for Blackrock in 2001 were a measly $200,000. As of last year, hundreds of millions of dollars were syphoned to Blackrock. How many scandals lurk in this white house? Bring back Monica. I would rather have a President getting off in the Oval Office than a President getting off on our country imploding. It’s almost as if he enjoys it.
Be sure to pay careful attention to the last two minutes of this video when Bush is questioned about military privatization.

“I’m honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein.”-Bush-Washington, DC, May 25, 2004.

Burning Bush part deux in my America.

Dopey Bush
For all intents and purposes, Bush is the CEO of the most powerful company in the world. The United States remains the most influential and financially superior country on the planet, albeit our status is weakening. If the US really was a company, our falling share price, consumer complaints, dwindling market share, our overall corporate neglect, would have created a mutiny not seen since Enron. Nobody likes Bush.
Well maybe this guy does.
Bush supporter
Worth a thousand words.
Anyway, Bush should be fired. Viewed from an outside perspective, the scenario that Bush/republicans have created in my America is almost laughable. But when you actually live hear, when you have to gas up your car, buy groceries, try to sell your house, etc. it is no longer so funny. At some point the pit in my stomach begins to burn and I wonder why we in America are so complacent. Where is the anger? Where is the accountability? I suggest that Bush, a man who seems to think that God has engineered his life and thus can do no wrong, have a little conversation with the man upstairs. If my America is lucky, a bolt of lightning from on high may indeed bring about a simmering Biblical justification. Burning Bush part deux. Perhaps some heat induced moment of clarity will reignite some of the remaining brain cells in el Presidente’s kopf. If this works, and he does what is right for the country, let’s all stand up and chear his corporate resignation. This really is the only way I can think to save my America. (tear falls down cheek)

Greenspan drills Bush in my America.

Just a little weekend surprise. I wasn’t going to write this weekend, been busy on a script, but this is too good. After driving down interest rates to impossibly low levels and thus imploding our real estate market for the long term, Greenspan has decided to come clean about what really fueled some of the idiotic financial and more importantly foreign policy decisions during his tenure, focusing on the Iraq war. Because I am attempting to be brief I will highlight what he claims to be the driving force behind some of the most significant policy decisions made by the Bush administration. Unbelievably, but predictably, it can be summed up in one word, OIL. More here.

What will Bush do when the party is over in my America?

I have always loved a good party. Friends, family, loved ones, the whole group cavorting around a central theme of fun. I’m always sad when the party ends. I’m not left with a pit in my stomach, that would be too severe. But, I do get party withdrawal, a sort of small void or emptiness that lingers vaguely in my mind. I have become acutely aware of the fact that a huge, almost eight year party is going to soon come to an end for our Commander in Chief. No one likes to party like GWB and when it ends I have a fear that he is going to want to go out with a bang. What could he do? Well, he has been busy upping the ante on several fronts including Syria, Iran, and Liechtenstein. Yes, that is correct, Liechtenstein. Bush has reportedly learned recently that Liechtenstein is the only European country whose bordering countries are also landlocked. Bush has begun drawing up a plan to address this problem. The plan, code named Unlockistein by Bush himself, has been signed off on by General Petraeus who himself declared, we have learned our lessons well. We will overwhelm the landlocks with a surge, and then surge that surge.

“And there is distrust in Washington. I am surprised, frankly, at the amount of distrust that exists in this town. And I’m sorry it’s the case, and I’ll work hard to try to elevate it.” –George W. Bush, interview on National Public Radio, Jan. 29, 2007

Traumatic Brain Injury has no place in my America!

Last night I was working in the pool shed when I hit my head, hard. I sat down immediately and searched my scalp for blood. Surprisingly, no blood had been drawn. I went a little dizzy, saw a couple of stars, and waited out my pain. The headache went away after about five minutes as did the dizzyness. I wish the same could be said of these poor boys. This is a huge problem now and one that is going to effect our society and nation for years to come. These walking wounded are going to require serious and intensive medical care for the rest of their lives. Since most of them are in there early twenties, this is going to be a long battle. Get the boys home now or you go over and see what a pressure wave from a bomb coursing through your head feels like. My guess is you would be back in Crawford in about two Southern seconds.

“You know, when I campaigned here in 2000, I said, I want to be a war President. No President wants to be a war President, but I am one.”—Des Moines, Iowa, Oct. 26, 20

Breaking news in my America.

Bin Laden Beard

Breaking News 9/10/07 – Bin Laden to release another video on the eve of Sept. 11th.

News today has put me into a foul mood. I don’t even want to write about it. I don’t have the energy to write about Bush making a fool out of himself again, this time in Sydney. I don’t have the energy to write about Osama’s latest outrageous nonsense video. Though I am mildly amused that he has asked me to convert to Islam. Let me think about it, no thanks. Read about it here. It is nice to see that Bin Laden, who just turned fifty and looks about three hundred, did dye his beard in an attempt, and perhaps breaking of Islamic custom, to look younger. Perhaps our sophisticated security agencies should look here.

Speaking of animals, is there anything cuter than a baby panda. Not really, unless he scares his mother like this one. Bad panda. Bad.

“Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.” – President Bush, Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004

I saw your nanny in My america.

I might have kids soon, ergo I might have to get a Nanny. Especially if I am still spending a lot of time trying to find my America. Some of my friend’s kids have nannys. I have read The Nanny Diaries, I even had a nanny. Her name was Annie-Lee. I know how important it is to have a reliable and trustworthy person watching over your children. So you call your friends, get recommendations, anything possible to make sure YOUR nanny is the right person to entrust your child’s safety to. So, do you have a good Nanny, or will you find her here at “I saw your Nanny”? Only in my America.

Example from I Saw Your Nanny:
Central Park/E. 77th Street Playground in NYC
Received Monday, August 27, 2007
This occurred at the Central Park/E. 77th St. playground. If you have a little boy named Leon who is about three years old and goes to Kidville Camp (he was wearing one of their t-shirts), this is YOUR nanny! The Nanny was completely asleep in a lying position on a bench. Not nodding off in a sitting position, SLEEPING. The kid was running all around completely unsupervised. Your diaper bag made for a great pillow for her. PLEASE, if you are familiar with Kidville camps or know a 3 year old named Leon, alert the parents! This little boy could have left the park, been injured, been abducted or worse. It is much to horrible to even consider. Do you know why the sleeping nanny woke up? Some other mother (or maybe a nanny) tried to snap a picture of her with her cell phone! She may have even got one. I don’t know!

Where are the nuclear weapons in my America?

My America maintains nearly 10,000 nuclear weapons. Enough to destroy our enemies and the planet several times over. Additionally, many nuclear weapons are in the process of or set to be decommissioned. Knowing that a handful of terrorist organizations would kill to get their hands on any amount of nuclear material, this article does not bode well for my faith in our ability to protect these weapons.

Jeffrey Lewis of New America Foundation wrote about America’s nuclear future in a very interesting piece for The Financial Times on August 13th. The following is an excerpt.

“America’s new nightmare is rather that nuclear weapons and technologies will spread to unstable regimes, and possibly even to terrorists. Nuclear deterrence plays at best a marginal role in curtailing this threat. Instead of emphasising nuclear deterrence, we must work to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and technologies. We need to build strong export controls, better inspections and safeguards, tougher sanctions against violators and more targeted interdiction efforts.” Full story here.

Bush hints at bringing troops home to my America.

Update 9/6/07 – Increduously, after Mark Vaile, the Australian Deputy Prime Minister “inquired politlely” about the situation in Iraq, Bush responded, “We’re kicking ass”. Can somebody please prepare a straight jacket for our President?

From Debka.com:
“Bush capped his unannounced visit to Iraq Monday, Sept. 2, with a speech to cheering US troops at an Anbar air base west of Baghdad. The US president told them their success in the province denied al Qaeda a safe base from which to plot attacks on the USA. He pledged that the drawdown of troop levels would depend on “calm assessments by commanders in the field – not poll-driven politics in Washington.”
Bush earlier met Sunni tribal sheiks who, he said, had once fought with al Qaeda against the coalition and now fought with the coalition against al Qaeda. The way was being paved for political reconciliation and the building of a civil society in Iraq.
His visit with Secretaries Condoleezza Rice and Robert Gates was meant to underscore the improvements in security in some parts of Iraq which Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker will embody in their progress report to Congress in a few days.
DEBKAfile: Bush made no mention of the British military pull-out from Basra Palace and city to an air base at its international airport on the day he arrived in Iraq. The British withdrawal is more of a retreat and admission by America’s senior coalition partner in Iraq that after four years, its troops have lost control over their area of jurisdiction in the South to anti-West and pro-Iranian Shiite militias and extremists.
All 5,500 British soldiers in Iraq are now confined to the Basra airport base.
Bush met with Iraqi PM Nouri Maliki and President Jalal Talabani, before taking off for Australia to attend an Asian-Pacific summit in Sydney.”
About time.
